2026 Biennial Meeting
Nominations are due at 11:59 PM ET on Friday, May 1, 2026
To nominate an individual for an award, you must be an MSGERC Member in good standing
MSGERC Lifetime Achievement Award
This award will honor one member for continuous, exceptional contributions to medical mycology.
Nominees require a strong written recommendation from an active member of MSGERC, consisting of:
- a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions to the field of mycology and to MSGERC
- reasons these contributions are worthy of special recognition
- a brief biographical sketch of the nominee
- a list of the nominee’s publications (up to 12)
- any other supporting material
The recommendation must be seconded by two additional active MSGERC members.
The nominee must be an MSGERC member in good standing.
An individual may not be nominated posthumously for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Members of the MSGERC Board of Directors are eligible only after they have left their Board positions.
MSGERC Young Investigator Award
This award will honor one Instructor, Assistant Professor or equivalent junior faculty member who has demonstrated notable achievement and shows high potential for future contributions in the field of mycology.
Nominees must be within 10 years (full time equivalent) of their last training position.
Nominees require a strong written recommendation from an active member of MSGERC, consisting of:
- a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions to the field of mycology and to MSGERC
- reasons these contributions are worthy of special recognition
- a brief biographical sketch of the nominee
- a list of the nominee’s publications (up to 6)
- any other supporting material
The recommendation must be seconded by two additional active MSGERC members.
The nominee must be an MSGERC member in good standing.
